Moscow Olympic Stadium Roof Walk

The famous 90,000 seat Luzhniki Stadium that hosted the 1980 Olympics and the FIFA 2018 finals match has opened its roof for visitors.

Located across the river from the Sparrow Hills and the Moscow University Campus it can now be considered another extreme viewing platform in Moscow, with all the key sights around you – from the ancient cathedrals in the city centre to Stalin-era towers and 21st century Moscow City skyscrapers.

It takes 300 hundred steps to go up the roof and the walk is around one kilometre – yes, that roof is so huge. All visitors must wear safety harness. To access the roof you will have a chance to walk through the tunnel that is used by the team to enter and exit the field – a rare opportunity to walk where the famous players walk during matches.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The roof can only be accessed by stairs, and no elevators are available. It is essential to bring your passports. Due to safety requirements it is mandatory to wear pants and comfortable shoes such as sneakers or trekking shoes with flat heals during this tour. Children under 14 are not allowed to access the roof.

The stadium roof walk does not include the tour of the rest of the stadium.

DISCLAIMER: in case of inclement weather the roof top tour can be cancelled by the stadium management on a short notice. In this case the time of you visit moved to another date or the price of the tickets will be reimbursed.
