Walking Tour of Central Moscow with a Metro Ride

Walking Tour of Central Moscow includes all the essentials, such as Red Square with its key sights St. Basil’s Cathedral, GUM and State History Museum. It includes Soviet history icons, such as Lenin’s Tomb and KGB HQ, and cultural icons such as the Bolshoi Theater and the Metropole Hotel built in the Moscow Art Nouveau style. You will see the building of the Russian parliament, the Russian State Duma. Your private guide will take you to the Alexander Garden near the Kremlin wall to the WW2 memorial to watch the high-stepping Kremlin Guards during change of guards ceremony, which takes place every turn of hour in any weather. And, of course, we will walk along Tverskaya Street, the main street of Moscow, where you will see the monument to the founder of the city, Price Yury Dolgoruky.

Following the Moscow walking tour we offer a metro ride. Do not be misled by the name – the Moscow underground transport system is not just a piece of urban infrastructure. Built by the Soviet Government to glorify the Soviet Union, as a propaganda tool, it soon became an ambitious political project. No expense was spared to turn the stations halls into the palaces for the people. Bronze chandeliers and sculptures, frescoes and mosaics, and all sorts of decorative stones adorn the station halls. No visit to Moscow would be complete without seeing the most beautiful Metro stations, some of which won international design awards.

This Moscow private walking tour lasts up to 4 hours, and can be arranged on any day of the week.
